Since 1st of September, Thomas Buberl is CEO of the AXA Group.
Thomas started his career at the Boston Consulting Group as a consultant for the banking & insurance sector in Germany and internationally. He has occupied several leadership roles in the Insurance Industry (COO for Winterthur, CEO of Zurich insurance in Switzerland, CEO of AXA Germany) before being appointed CEO of AXA’s Health and Savings Global Business Lines Health, joining AXA’s Management Committee.
Thomas holds a Master of Economics degree from WHU Koblenz (Germany), a MBA from Lancaster University (UK) and a PhD in Economics from the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland). He has been distinguished as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
