Thérèse Lemarchand is the CEO of Commeon (previously Culture Time), the civic crowdfunding platform for culture, heritage, and philanthropy. Thérèse holds a degree in civil engineering from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris France (ENPC). She has built a dual career path, both in the industrial and cultural sectors.
She has ten years of experience in engineering and key-account management at EDF Group (European leader in energy). She also intermittently worked within the area of contemporary art : Thérèse Lemarchand first worked at the Opera Gallery in Singapour in 1999-2000 ; then, from 2002 to 2006, she contributed to the launching of Enviedart.com (one of the first online contemporary art gallery), and to the development of Arcturus gallery.
Her passion about contemporary art and her firm belief in the role of culture in the shaping of individual and collective identity led her to leave EDF in 2013 to launch commeon.com, and develop civic engagement and fundraising for culture, heritage. The success of this approach, gathering citizens, governmental and non governmental organizations led her to extend it to all type of causes.
