Nick Cowan, Managing Director of GSX Limited and CEO of the Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange

A seasoned specialist in investment business and founder of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange (GSX), Nick Cowan has amassed 34 years of experience in capital markets, including time as the Head of Equities and Board Member at ING Barings, managing up to 2,500 employees in 43 countries, including 40 stock exchange memberships. ​

In November 2014 the GSX received its full licence before opening as Gibraltar’s first Stock Exchange. With the goal of creating a world leading Digital Asset Exchange and setting the gold standard in institutional-grade token sales, Nick and the GSX team launched the Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange (GBX), underwent its full-scale public launch in August 2018. GBX is now a regulated Digital Asset Exchange and Token Sale Platform, and is the only regulated blockchain exchange in the world owned by a Stock Exchange. As CEO of the GBX, Nick’s vision and guidance has positioned the exchange as a showcase platform underpinning Gibraltar's credentials as a leading blockchain and crypto hub.
