After graduating from HEC and INSEAD, Alexandre started his career with Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company. In 2013, he founded Smok.io – the first connected electronic cigarette.

When he was in charge of finances in his first company, Alexandre experienced the frustrations of business banking. His banking experience was not only time-consuming and complex but also didn't include modern tools.

Shortly afterward, he decided to establish a better solution for young businesses and founded Qonto – the simple banking alternative for SMEs and freelancers. Since the launch in July 2017, Qonto has raised €32 millions and made business banking easy for more than 65.000 companies.
