Max Laemmle is the Founder & CEO of Fraugster, a German-Israeli payment security company. Fraugster’s goal is to create a fraud free world by using artificial intelligence technology. Today the Fraugster technology is so accurate, that the company takes over the full liability for every payment transaction it approves. This means merchants don’t have to care about risk at all.
Every decision made by Fraugster is fully reinsured by the world’s largest reinsurance company, Munich Re. Fraugster is operating around the globe and is managing around $ 35bn for companies like Ingenico and SIX Payment Services.
The company is backed by leading investors such as Earlybird, CommerzVentures (venture arm of Commerzbank), HSB Ventures (venture arm of Munich Re) and Speedinvest.
Prior to founding Fraugster, Max co-founded Better Payment, a German payment gateway service provider, and also acted as the product evangelist for the mPOS company SumUp, which allows SMB merchants to accept card payments.
