Sougata Basu, CFA is the Founder of a venture-backed fintech startup called CashRich. CashRich is a leading robo-advisor in India and has been recognized by the State Government as one of the most innovative fintech startups. Sougata has managed around USD 2 billion of investments for the Tata Group at their corporate headquarters in Mumbai. He has an MBA in Finance and MS in Information Systems from Boston University, USA where he received 3 prestigious scholarships to fund his education. His prior roles include working as an Investment Consultant at UBS in Boston, Equity Research Analyst for cleantech sector and Financial Analyst at a VC firm that funded Twitter. He has an Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), India. Sougata has been a speaker at fintech conferences such as India FinTech Awards (IFTA) and MoneyConf.
