Pascal Demurger graduated from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and worked at the French Ministry of Finance, until he joined MAIF in 2002. He runs the group since 2009.

As President of the former, he contributed to the merger in 2016 of the GEMA and the FFSA and became vice-president of the newly created French Insurance Federation (FFA). He also chairs the association of French Mutual Insurers Association (AAM), founded that same year.
