Matthias Kröner is the co-founder and CEO of Fidor which comprises of Fidor Bank - a digital bank with a unique concept of ‘banking with friends’, Fidor Solutions – the digital backbone of Fidor Bank that provides open banking solutions and managed services to partner-banks and Fidor Factory - a customer engagement and marketing agency. Fidor was recently acquired by Groupe BPCE to drive its ambitious expansion plan to grow Fidor Bank across Europe and support Fidor Solutions global co-entrepreneurship programme. Prior to founding Fidor, Matthias co-developed the first continental European online broker known as DAB Bank. In 1997 he was recognised as the youngest CEO of Direkt Anlage Bank AG at the age of 32. His early career includes a role of assistant to the Management at Maffei Bank. His experience within the hospitality industry contributed strongly in building Matthias’ vision of excellence in customer service.
