Mr. Teppo Paavola , Chief Development Officer and GM of New Digital Businesses, has been at BBVA since October 2014. Before joining BBVA, Mr. Paavola served as the Head of Global Business Development and M&A at PayPal. He also served as the Vice President and GM of Mobile Financial Services, led Corporate Business Development and Partnering at Nokia Corporation. As a founder/ CEO of 5 startups, he also knows what is required in setting up new businesses. Named the "Doyen of digital banking" and "Personality of the Year 2016 in Digital Banking" by international financial services industry peers.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD and MSc in Economics and Marketing from Helsinki School of Economics, Aalto University.
