John leads TCV’s European investment efforts with a focus on the software, fintech, and internet sectors. He currently serves on the boards of Believe, Elevate (NYSE: ELVT), NewVoiceMedia, Retail Merchant Services, tastyworks, and WorldRemit. He was also actively involved in TCV’s investments including Automated Trading Desk (acquired by Citigroup), Brillen.de, Capella Education Company (NASDAQ: CPLA), FinancialForce, FX Alliance (acquired by Thomson Reuters), Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IBKR), Orbitz (NASDAQ: OWW), Spotify, and Thinkorswim (acquired by Investools).

John joined TCV in 2000, having previously worked as a business development manager at Della.com.  He started his career as an investment banking analyst at Robertson Stephens in San Francisco.

John received a B.A. in Economics and Politics from Princeton University. He is passionate about education and previously served on the board of Rocketship Education in California.
