Julien joined BlackFin in 2016 to launch BlackFin Tech, a €180 European fintech & insurtech fund with 7 deals announced to date: Friss, Ravelin, Pretto, Descartes Underwriting, Viabill, Epsor, and Agicap.

Before BlackFin, Julien was a Partner at Paris-based VC-firm Aster Capital. He spent four years in Paris and two in San Francisco where he launched Aster Capital’s US office.
